Well, it’s official- LSU won’t be playing for the title this time around. I think I’m over it though…it’ll be fun to see if we get a new coach, what we do next year, that sort of thing. And the Saints are looking up, so who knows. Hope springs eternal in Louisiana, right? In the immortal words of Yente- “Of coouurse right” On another note, we’re up in Mobile, AL, for Thanksgiving this year, which is awesome both food and family wise. And! For our annual lets-get-out-of-the-house-and-do-anything-but-sit-and-eat-what-we-didn’t-eat-last-night movie we went to see Disney’s Enchanted. And if you go and see it, you will understand when I say that it’s difficult to type this without the song tunes and lyrics that have been engraved in my brain leaking out. Really, though, it’s a great movie. “Cute,” if that’s your terminology. But a legit cute.
Working on from there, I’ll give you a rundown of what’s next for life at Lee. Kyle and I head back Sunday afternoon for one more week (and a Monday and Tuesday) of classes, a free day next Wednesday, and then finals. Finals should be fun for me, considering I have an 8 a.m. one on the 6th and a 3:15 p.m. on the 11th…and nothing in between. Yeah. Nada. Zilch. So! Plans are being made to either see if I can take it early-(saaaay, mebbe the 6th at 9:14ish a.m. ) or just visit my Uncle, Aunt, and Cousin in Virginia that weekend for a couple of days. We’ll have to see what all turns out. Or maybe take it early, visit them, and then come home- seeing as I do have a month of break no matter how it ends up working. Fun stuff.
I think that might be all there is for tonight actually- we leave for home about 10ish, so chances are I should be closing my eyes soon. Not that I won’t nap on the way- but you gotta play it safe when sleep’s involved :0) And food. So remind me to grab all the turkey my poor scrawny underfed hands can grab in the morning light…..
Fin. (It’s at the end of Ratatouille- who can resist plagiarizing French movie words?)
So close to Thanksgiving Break. Just finished studying for science, so hopefully that’ll be over soon too Gotta get through Monday and Tuesday, and I’m home free. On a funnier note, I’ve officially achieved nocturnalness– went to sleep at 4 a.m. yesterday, woke up at 6 p.m. Went to sleep again at 11:30 this morning, woke up at 5 p.m. I think I may just force myself in bed about 1 or 2 tonight though…we’ll have to see But! I’m off to proofread an REL200 paper, and then maybe food for me. And LSU is still number one
At the Union tonight- the 8 to midnight shift. Lab checks, paper refills, the occasional email/login/printing problem…and pretty much nothing else =) It’s not so bad though- I got my homework done, watched the Incredibles with some people who had it on a projector, and am currently watching the Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Sacramento Kings as I type. Money to watch the NBA- who knew? On another note, school has been going really well this semester- my theology class is really interesting, my history is decent (great professor, not so much where I want my focus to be though), and I scheduled my classes for next semester tonight. Turns out I’ll most likely be double majoring in Communications (along with my B.A. in History), so that should be fun. Reading C.S. Lewis tonight though- Doctrine of the Trinity (Mere Christianity Ch. 4); let’s see where that leads?
7 to 5. That, my friends, was the score of our soccer game tonight, a game the Fighting Squirrels most definitely won. I’m currently here at the Help Desk, showered and basking in victory glory =) On another note, we do have a flag football game tomorrow night, so hopefully our joy will carry over to that one as well. We’ll have to see. But! Comment and let me know how you guys are doing- or just sign your name and I’ll spend next post making up what you’re doing Up to you!
So here I am at the Lee University Help Desk. And. It. Is. Awesome. I work the 10 p.m. to midnight shift every weeknight, with a couple of really cool guys (tonight at least), so I can definitely get used to this. On another note, intramurals have started, so all of us on first floor are pretty pumped about flag football and soccer. The Hughes Hall Fighting Squirrels we are: no laughs please. I also have just finished and turned in my exam two paper for Intro to Theology, so that’s a good note. But! Next week starts the next round of tests for me, so I’m currently goofing off as much as possible between now and then- so! If you want to join…… =)
